scenario and fix the role bugs it surfaces\n\nThis role tests master/replica streaming replication but molecule.yml\nonly ever spun up one instance, so checks.yml's 2-host assertion failed\nimmediately on every distro. Building it out properly surfaced a chain\nof real bugs, fixed in order hit:\n\n- checks.yml: assert 'that:' clauses double-templated {{ }} inside an\n already-Jinja context, a syntax modern ansible-core rejects.\n- enix.postgresql (the external dependency that installs postgres) has\n no RHEL/Fedora support at all and uses apt-key, removed from modern\n Debian/Ubuntu - its own galaxy metadata only ever claimed Debian\n 9-11/Ubuntu 20.04-22.04. Shrunk the CI matrix to debian11/ubuntu2204,\n the only combination actually verified working end to end.\n- enix.postgresql's postgresql__* vars come from its own vars/main.yml,\n which only stays in scope for the rest of the play it's invoked in -\n moved it from prepare.yml into converge.yml so buluma.postgresql_\n replication's tasks can actually see them.\n- enix.postgresql's locale_gen task runs unconditionally regardless of\n OS family, but community.general.locale_gen only supports Debian; we\n don't need generated locales for this, so skip the list instead of\n patching the external role.\n- install-debian.yml never installed openssh-client, so ssh-keygen\n wasn't available for the WAL-copy key generation.\n- Test images don't ship the ip command, so ansible_facts['default_\n ipv4'] never populated - needed for the replication authorized_key's\n from= restriction.\n- pg_hba.conf/listen_addresses were never opened up for replication\n connections between nodes.\n- postgresql__users (the replicate role itself) was never created.\n- handlers/main.yml defines 'Restart postgresql' (capital R); two\n tasks notified the lowercase 'restart postgresql', which ansible\n matches case-sensitively - handler was silently never found until\n Ansible started hard-erroring on unmatched notifies.\n- bootstrap-replicas.yml unconditionally stopped postgres and re-ran\n pg_basebackup on every converge, failing idempotence - gated all\n three tasks on whether PG_VERSION already exists in the data dir.\n- verify.yml tested against a completely different, unrelated role\n (buluma.postgres) with mismatched vars; rewrote it to actually check\n this role's behavior.
